Jeff Stepanski has been in long term care for 20 years, almost all of them with EmpRes Healthcare. Jeff began at EmpRes’ Lakeport, California location as a Social Services designee. He then moved to Medical Records for several years before completing an Administrator-in-Training program, which culminated in his obtaining his Nursing Home Administrator license in 2007. Jeff is very much at home at Gardnerville Health and Rehabilitation, as he loves the small town feeling offered by the Gardnerville community. In his spare time, Jeff loves to cook and read when his two dogs, Winston and Maddie, allow it.
Suzie has been in the medical field for over 15 years, working in several different areas. She has been in long term care for about 9 years and loves taking care of the elderly population. She has been with Gardnerville Health and Rehabilitation since 2013 as the Director of Nursing, having moved to Nevada from Ohio in 2012. Suzie and her family enjoy the Nevada outdoors as often as they can.
Bethany Loy earned her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy at Dominican University of California. After years of working with individuals with Autism, she began working with elders following her father’s journey with dementia. She moved to Nevada in 2015 and began working at Gardnerville Health and Rehab as the occupational therapist. As a rehabilitation manager, she feels fortunate to work with a highly skilled and passionate rehabilitation team that is devoted to assisting elders return to their highest level of independence and increase their quality of life. In her spare time she enjoys travelling and spending time outdoors.
Terri started cooking at a very young age and, along with her desire to learn as much as possible, the path took her through a variety of styles and techniques of cooking, including American, Mexican, Italian, and Asian. The Eastern Sierra has been her home for over 30 years and Gardnerville for the past 10 years. The opportunity to work with the elderly, along with the ability to share her cooking skills, makes it a pleasure to work at Gardnerville Health and Rehabilitation. She also enjoys spending time off cooking, fishing, and taking her dogs to the river.
Carolyn has worked with the elderly for nearly 20 years. In 2001 she took a break from healthcare to pursue rental management but quickly realized working with seniors was her passion. In 2002 she returned to healthcare with EmpRes and has never looked back. Carolyn started out with EmpRes as a nursing assistant and has done various other roles including working as a nursing aide and in the activities and medical records departments. Currently, she is the Community Relations Director for Gardnerville Health and Rehabilitation. She has been in this role for over three years and it is by far her favorite. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and dining out at new restaurants.
Jeslyn has worked in the healthcare field for four years now. She started off at EmpRes’ Ormsby Post Acute Rehab working in Human Resources and Accounts Payable. Two years ago she transferred over to Gardnerville Health and Rehabilitation and is now the Business Office Manager. She loves the Gardnerville community because it is such a small town and everyone is always so friendly. When she is not at work she is very active with her two sons and their sporting activities.
